Sizing AR Models to match Real World Dimensions

So I wanted to see how accurate the iPhone’s AR capabilities are. Apparently, it’s extremely precise. Sorry you have to see my feet, lol.

The left box is a video graphics card box I had lying around, so I decided to create a 3D model from it using Photogrammetry. After cleaning up the mesh, I resized it to real world dimensions, neat!

Computer Vision Model (AI) to Track Feet in realtime

So this is a fun project that took me a good 3-4 weeks to do.  I used Yolo v9 model as the base and created a CoreML computer vision model on top of it to detect feet.

The model was able to detect my wife’s feet as well as my own. This CoreML model can be used both in iOS and XR (Vision Pro) devices.
